Pine Market's Free Fall Season Ends in Pieces, Starting November 15

Pine Market's Free Fall Season Ends in Pieces, Starting November 15

The free events at The Park at Pine Market run on separate schedules with different hosts and different last dates. Dancing in the Park is the first to end, on November 15. The Friday concerts end on November 20. The Saturday fitness classes run through November 28. Park Pals keeps going into December. The first holiday event on the calendar, the Texas Roots Holiday Market, takes place on November 7, while all of these are still running.

If you're a Woodforest resident planning the next eight weeks, read the calendar one series at a time. October also breaks the concert series' usual Friday pattern, so the dates you remember from summer won't all line up.

Each series keeps its own clock

Pine Market's calendar lists four recurring free programs at the park. Here's how each one runs and when it stops, based on the listings as of September 30, 2026.

Series When it runs Host Last listed date
Concert in the Park 1st and 3rd Fridays, 7 to 9 p.m., August through November Pine Market Friday, November 20
Fitness in the Park Saturdays, 8:30 and 9:15 a.m., September through November BODYBAR Pilates in October, Montgomery County Jazzercise in November Saturday, November 28
Dancing in the Park Monthly Woodforest Dance Company Sunday, November 15, 4 p.m.
Park Pals Every second Saturday, 11 a.m. Pine Market Continues to December 12

The end dates are close together, but not identical. Dancing in the Park calls November 15 its "final dance," and that session moves from its usual Saturday morning to a Sunday at 4 p.m. Five days later, Ziggy Moonshine closes the concert series with a country set. Pine Market calls it the "final show in the series." Fitness in the Park keeps going for two more Saturdays after that, including the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Park Pals is the only series on the calendar that continues past November. It keeps its second-Saturday slot into December.

October breaks the Friday pattern

The concert series is billed for the first and third Fridays. October's listings don't follow that rule. No concert is listed for Friday, October 2. That evening the calendar shows a free adult hip-hop pop-up class with Woodforest Dance Company from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., and spots are limited.

The third Friday, October 16, follows the pattern with the Shekere Latin & Variety Band. The next week brings a second concert. The CC Rider Band show was moved to Friday, October 23, because of weather. Pine Market says it's been more than a year since the band last played the park. So October has concerts on back-to-back Fridays and nothing on the first Friday.

November goes back to the regular pattern. Sixtiesmania plays on November 6, a 1960s party band the calendar describes as all-ages. Ziggy Moonshine follows on November 20.

The Saturdays that stack up

Because fitness runs every Saturday morning, it overlaps with the monthly events. Several Saturdays this fall have two or three things going on at once:

  • October 10: Fitness in the Park at 8:30 and 9:15 a.m., followed by Park Pals at 11 a.m. October's character lineup is Barbies.
  • October 17: Fitness classes in the morning, then Dancing in the Park at 10:30 a.m. The dance class is free and open to children and adults of any experience level.
  • October 31: Fitness at 8:30 a.m., a Halloween costume contest at 16 Handles at noon, and Trick or Tee at Tee Flat's Indoor Golf Studio from 1 to 4 p.m. Trick or Tee is free and includes club demos, club fittings and its own costume contest.
  • November 7: Fitness classes, plus the Texas Roots Holiday Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Harvest Market parking lot.
  • November 14: The last Paw Patrol Park Pals morning, after the fitness sessions.

What you need for the fitness classes changes between months. In October, BODYBAR Pilates brings the mats and holds raffle drawings at each class. In November, Montgomery County Jazzercise takes over. The 8:30 a.m. class is Cardio and the 9:15 a.m. class is Sculpt & Stretch. Bring your own mat, a set of hand weights and water, and sign a one-time waiver.

Individual businesses fill in the weekdays. On Tuesday, October 13, Tee Flat's hosts Pose & Par, a $25 morning for women from 10:30 a.m. to noon, limited to 16 people. It starts with golf-focused yoga led by Andrea of Empowered Yoga, followed by tips from Tee Flat's PGA Professional Troy Flateau. On Wednesday, October 28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., 16 Handles holds Aggie Night and donates 20% of Aggie sales to the Montgomery County Aggie Scholarship Fund. On Friday, October 30, Blast Swim Academy hosts a Glow in the Dark Halloween Pool Party, and registration is required.

Dinner before a 7 p.m. start

A 7 p.m. concert start means eating early or eating after the show at 9. Several Pine Market restaurants stay open past 9 p.m. on Fridays. These are the published Friday hours:

  • WO Sushi Fusion, 810 Pine Market Ave., Suite 140: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Amalfi Taste, on the second floor of Harvest Market: 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Los Cucos on Pine Market Avenue: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., per a third-party listing.
  • Beerforest, 2295 Woodforest Parkway N: 3 p.m. to midnight, per a third-party listing.
  • Wasabi Bistro, 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Morelia Gourmet Paletas and 16 Handles: both open until 10 p.m.

Charm Thai Eatery & Bar at 859 Pine Market Ave. is the newest restaurant on the list. An OpenTable review from a September 5, 2026 visit describes that meal as the restaurant's "soft opening." Its Friday dinner hours differ by platform. Toast lists dinner from 4 to 8:30 p.m. OpenTable lists Friday dinner through 9:30 p.m. On a concert night, eat before 7 or call ahead.

Daytime spots close before the concerts start. Panicafe closes at 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Luv Coffee closes at 6 p.m. on Fridays. New Bridge Fusion Steakhouse & Bar at 759 Pine Market Ave. was announced in January for a March 2026 opening. Community Impact later reported April. Both Pine Market's directory and the restaurant's own site still list it as coming soon.

The rules for concert nights

Pine Market posts a park code of conduct. Some of it applies directly to a Friday evening with a crowd:

"Parks are open from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted."

The concerts run past dusk, so they count as posted exceptions. During events, the rules ban sporting equipment and balls. Glass containers, fires and fireworks are banned at all times. Dogs are welcome on a leash with current tags and vaccinations. Owners have to clean up after them and can't leave them unattended. Parking is allowed only in designated areas, and vehicles can't be left overnight. The rules page doesn't mention chairs, blankets or coolers. Check the park rules or ask on site before packing for a show.

The first holiday market comes before the fall series end

The Texas Roots Holiday Market comes back on Saturday, November 7. It's free and runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Harvest Market parking lot, with local boutiques, handmade goods, gifts and food. Last year's market was on November 1, 2025. Its listing allowed strollers but not wagons, and service dogs only, which is a different pet policy from the park's leash rule. The 2026 listing hasn't posted those details yet. That date falls in the middle of November's concerts, so the holiday market and the fall series overlap for several weeks.

Deck the Pines, Pine Market's annual holiday kickoff, is listed for Friday, December 4, at 5 p.m. Nothing else about it has been posted yet. In 2024, Hello Woodlands described it as a free 5 to 8 p.m. event at 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare, with a 7 p.m. tree lighting, live nativity animals, Santa photos, face painting and treats from Pine Market businesses. Eight days later, on December 12, Park Pals brings Frozen characters to the park. That's the last free event on the calendar this year.

The concert series, the dance sessions and the November fitness classes all end before December. Mark November 15, November 20 and November 28 now.
